We took Kailey this morning to Portrait Innovations to get her 18 month pictures made. Here are all the pictures they took. They do a really great job and are very affordable, if you haven't ever tried them before!

Anxious Ramblings

Its late. Well for me anyway. I am feeling very anxious about a lot of things right now. I thought maybe if I blogged about them it would make me feel better.

Before I talk about my anxieties thought, I am so sad about Jon and Kate Gosselin. I watched the hour-long depressing announcement show tonight. You know, where they announced their divorce. It just makes me so mad. They were supposedly "a christian family" and yet they won't even try to save their marriage. I mean no counseling, no quitting the show (heaven forbid) to try to make things work. Nothing. It just makes me so mad!

But enough about them. One thing making me feel anxious is my job. We got a new principal. Usually during the summer, I don't really think too much about my job. Especially this early. But, it is sorta hard not to when you get emails every other day reminding you things will be different. I think this change will be for the better, more support, etc. But so far, all it is producing is anxiety. A lot of things are changing that I won't go into, but all these changes are making me anxious. Basically though, what I'm teaching is changing, who I'm teaching with is changing, the schedule is changing...basically everything is changing. Change brings anxiety.

Then I guess the other thing bothering me today is the whole having a baby thing. I would have been 11 weeks today. I just wish I had it back. I am feeling so anxious about not being able to have a baby. I think before, when we weren't really planning the baby, I didn't desire it so much. But now, that I've lost a baby, I want it so much more and I'm afraid it isn't going to happen. It is just nerve wracking. And scary.

At Fuge last week, we all wrote down things we wanted to be held accountable for. One of mine was to not worry so much. I know that I need to give all this anxiety to God. Sometimes that is so hard. That is all I can really do though, and hope that it goes away!

Thanks for reading..if I read this tommorow and it sounds ridiculous, it may disappear! :)

Kailey's Trip to Kingwood

While we were at Centrifuge, Kailey spent the week with my parents and sisters in Kingwood. She had a lot of fun spending time with them. They went swimming a lot, and also went to the Houston Zoo one day. Here are a few pics:

Centrifuge Camp '09

I have spent the last 5 days at Mississippi College for Centrifuge Youth Camp! It was a blast! It was really great to be able to go this year. This was my first year to go to camp with the youth here in Temple. (The first year we were here, I was pregnant with Kailey, and last year Kailey was only 6 months old and so I didn't want to leave her!) I had a really great time getting to know the students better, and allowing them to get to know me better. The camp was wonderful, as always. Fuge is the best camp out there, in my totally unbiased opinion. :) I didn't take any pics, but there are tons of pics uploaded onto facebook. If you are one of my facebook friends, just go to my profile and you'll see all the albums I've been tagged in.

In the meantime, Kailey has been off gallavanting around with her Grammy, Pawpaw, Auntie Em, and Aunt Lala in Kingwood. It has been incredibly hard for me to be away from her. I haven't seen her since last Saturday!!! I'm about to go crazy. I just hope she remembers me when she sees me. I have never been away from her for longer than 2 days, so 6 has been difficult. Luckily, she has been having a blast with my family, and I am appreciative of them taking care of her. There are also some cute pics and a video of her on my facebook profile. Is it just me, or did she grow like incredibly since last Saturday? She looks like she is about 3. Anyway. Check those out!

Just wanted to give you a quick update from the past week! Check ya later alligators! :)

1 Year ago today..

Today is my blogging anniversary! I wrote my very first post 1 year ago today! I wasn't sure how it would turn out back then, but now I am happy I have done it! It is so neat to be able to look back and read about all the neat things we have experienced this past year. I have a couple of really cute stories from today, that you may not find very exciting, but that I think are very cute, and I want to blog them so that I can show Kailey one day. We will call these "the blanket stories".

Blanket Story Number 1:

Last night when I was getting Kailey ready for bed I was putting some laundry in the dryer. She followed me into the garage while I was doing this and drug her blanket with her. This blanket is sort of her favorite one, I guess because it is softer than the others. Since she drug it in the garage, it got dirty. So when I put her in her crib, I just set it on her chair and gave her a new one. Well in about 15 minutes, I heard her crying. So I opened the door and she was standing in her crib, and reaching for her "favorite" blanket going "uh uh uh" and pointing. So, being the horrible mother that I am (as far as giving in to her..) I gave her the blanket, and she fell asleep. When I went to check on her a couple hours later I switched the blankets back. Around 3:00 in the morning she started crying. I laid there for a couple minutes and she fell right back asleep, so I didn't think anything of it. Then at 7:00, she wakes up crying. This is very unusual for her, she usually wakes up around 7:30, and just lays and talks and plays. So I go in there, and once again, she is standing up, pointing towards the other blanket! I couldn't believe it! She actually remembered the other blanket and wanted it more. I guess she is growing attached!

Blanket Story Number Two:

This one is not as long, but I think its sweet. It definitely shows how smart she is! Tonight I was getting Kailey ready for bed (notice a trend..) and I said "ok go and find your blanket..where is it?". I was busy looking for something else and just kept telling her to find it. A couple minutes later she comes an finds me and has a different blanket in her hands. I thought she just grabbed it from the mound of her clean laundry in the guest room, and then I walked back into her room. Whenver I did, her dresser drawer that has her blankets in it was open! She was actually smart enough to know that when I said to get a blanket, that was where she was supposed to look. So cute!

Swimming Fun

I was very disappointed that our local pool has not been filled up, and I am assuming won't be opening this summer! What a bummer.I set up Kailey's little blow-up pool yesterday afternoon, and she enjoys playing in it just as much. Here are some pics of her enjoying the water!

Skate Night

On Sunday night, our church began a new summer series called "Family Road Trips". Each Sunday night after church we will be going to a place to have a little fun. This past Sunday was Skate night. Kailey and I went to watch everybody else skate, and mingle. It was a lot of fun. Here are a few pics:
