In the mail...just know I am one happy girl! I was fortunate to find a Vera Bradley Diaper bag for $40 off retail price! Wooo hooo! It is so cute, right??



I am now 36 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Pretty crazy! Here are some pics of your favorite blimp..




My next doctor's appointment is on Tuesday, and I'll find out if I am making any progress thus far. My guess is that I am NOT, and my C-section is already scheduled for May 25th, just FYI! :)

The Name Game

It was so much fun posting the letter "A" last week, that I have decided to play a little game. I will be posting a new letter of the baby's name every Friday (in no particular order) and then those of you who care, can have a little fun guessing the name. I of course, will give you no clues, nor will I tell you if you are correct, but it might still be fun! So, here is the letter of the week:

Preggo Pics and a Hint

Well, I took some 34 week pictures of myself yesterday. Yes that is correct, what you see here will still get larger. 6 weeks left! Pretty exciting! Especially since that means I have less than 6 weeks left of school. Whoop!





We also went and picked up the letters for the baby's name! It turned out super cute! Here is the first letter I will show you, so let the guesses begin. I might be nice and show you another one next week. We'll see how I am feeling. :)

Attempted Bluebonnet Pics

We have SO MANY fields of bluebonnets around these parts of Texas, so I thought we would attempt the whole bluebonnet picture thing this year. Unfortunately, Kailey did not really feel like posing for pictures, in fact she was quite grumpy. But, here are the ones that we ended up with!

IBC Yard Wars

Casey began a really cool Youth Fundraiser last Spring to raise money for youth camp each summer. It is called "Yard Wars". People can pay $20 to "tag" somebody's yard, which basically means they get a few toilets, some bathroom sinks, several plungers, and maybe even a bathtub stuck in their yard. The people then have to pay to have it removed, or they can tag somebody else. (You can also pay $30 for protection if you don't want to get tagged!) It is pretty funny, and most of the church members have a lot of fun with it. We got tagged this past week. Kailey had a lot of fun picking up all the plungers and putting them in a pile. (FYI The toilets and plungers have never actually been used..they are all brand new).

Baby Girl's Nursery

We finally have the nursery completed (except for her name on the wall!). It has been really fun working on the room. It is definitely a lot different than Kailey's room! We had to do some major rearranging, to turn our guest rooom/office into a nursery. We have moved a lot out of the closet and into the garage, and then a portion of the closet is still going to be used for some of our stuff, but that's ok!







Her name will go above the dresser. I just ordered it from Etsy, and I think it is going to be really cute! Whenever I get them, I will post a picture of one letter, just as a teaser so you can see the design and make your guesses about the name.



This is the diaper stacker. I was really blessed to get this! It was the last one in stock ANYWHERE!


My sister, Emily, painted these giraffe pictures, and she won the zebra picture at an auction for us.




The bedding that I chose started being discontinued about mid-way through the process of designing the nursery. We weren't able to locate the mobile that came with the bedding, but my mom found this mobile, and she just recovered the arm and the umbrella to match the bedding. It turned out pretty cute, and it is pretty crazy because she did it in Kingwood, and didn't have the bedding with her to match the colors!



Casey painted the walls and replaced all the baseboards. He also replaced our celing fan, which normally isn't that difficult, However, we could not find a brushed nickel fan with black blades, so we bought one with white blades and he painted them!He did a really great job, I think!




A little less than 7 weeks to go!

Easter Weekend

We had a very full 4-day Easter weekend. We got a lot done, and had a lot of fun, but I am tired! Casey and I were both off on Thursday, so we headed down to Austin to get some baby stuff for the nursery. (as soon as I hang the artwork I have, I will post pics of the nursery!) On Friday Casey's parents, his sister and her family, and my mom and sister Emily all headed into town. We decided to meet up in Waco at the Cameron Park Zoo. The weather didn't look very promising, but we decided to go anyway, and I'm glad we did! It was overcast and not very crowded at all! Kailey and Caden had a good time looking at the animals, and they didn't even mind that they had 9 adults tagging along with them. (that zoo made a killing off of us!) Here are a few pics from the zoo:







On Saturday, we went to an Easter Egg Hunt at First Baptist Belton. (Our church didn't have one this year :( ) It was fun. They also did the Easter story for the kids using resurrection eggs, which was pretty cool.







On Saturday afternoon and evening we made Easter bunny cookies, did an Easter egg craft, and dyed Easter eggs. If you'll take a look at this post from last year, it is pretty amazing to see the difference! She was way more into dyeing the eggs this year, and had a lot more fun!










On Easter morning, Kailey woke up and found her basket full of Easter goodies. She was pretty excited about all of it. She got this book called "That's not my bunny.." which is very similar to this one that she has called "That's not my puppy..". It was so funny because she got it out of her basket and started "reading" it..("Thas not my bunny!!"...) as if she knew the words. Then she pulled out her blue stuffed lamb and said " Oh lamb! Old Macdonal has a farmer....LAMBS! Baa here Baa there eieio..". It was cute!




Then we all got dressed in our traditional color-coordinated easter outfits. This year it was purple and green. First, here is last year's picture: (If you want to do some more comparing..check out this post from last year)

And finally...we had one final Easter egg hunt in our yard for Kailey, Caden, and Caden's half-sister Jade. It was pretty wet, due to the rain that morning, but we made it work. The kids either didn't want to touch the eggs because they were wet, or they opened them and dumped the jelly-beans on the ground and ate them!





Ok, so maybe now you can see why I am so tired!
