Christmas 2009

We spent the last week traveling between our house, Shreveport, LA (Casey's parents' house), and Kingwood, TX (My parents' house). It was a long week, but lots of fun, and we all enjoyed spending time with our families.

Here are some pics from our family Christmas, that we had before we left. Kailey got a magna-doodle, an ornament, an elmo book and music player, sesame street board books, and a color-by-number stuffed elephant. Casey's big gift was his new I-touch, and my big gift was my new Ugg boots, which I LOVE!:









On the 21st, we left for Shreveport, to spend a few days with Casey's family. We went to Nachitoches, LA to see the Christmas lights, ate a yummy cajun dinner, and rode in a horse carriage. On Christmas Eve, we opened gifts. Kailey's big gift was a new baby doll and highchair. She is really sweet with the baby, which is hopefully signs of things to come!







On Christmas Eve, we left for Kingwood, TX, to spend a few days with my family celebrating Christmas. Kailey's big gifts there included a grocery cart, and a Little People house and SUV.

It's a Girl!

We had our big ultrasound today, and found out that the new baby is a girl! I love baby girls, and in my non-biased opinion, I happen to have one of the prettiest girls on the planet, so we know our baby girls are beautiful! Everything looked great anatomically as well, so that was a huge relief for me. I will try to post pics of the ultrasound later, but for now, I am just hoping to get a good nap in!

Favorite Sesame Street Video

Kailey LOVES Sesame Street. This is her favorite video. She watches it over and over again. She knows when it is about to finish and says "moe song??" "Moe song??" (More song). I have to admit, it is my favorite too.

Blow your nose!

Today Kailey started developing a bit of a cold. I didn't have any Kleenex, so I just started grabbing Toilet Paper when she needed to blow it. This evening, I guess she thought she could take things into her own hands...





So funny! She also probably would have flushed it down the toilet, if we hadn't caught her!

Kailey's 2nd Birthday!

On Saturday, our Kailey-girl turned 2! Crazy! We had a fun-filled Sesame Street Birthday party. The girl loves her some Sesame Street. Especially "ehmo"(Elmo), "bee buh"(big bird), "wakadeek"(cookie monster..I know right!Haha), "Ehnie"(Ernie", and "buht"(Burt). She also loves to watch it and say "no no Ohker!"(no, no Oscar!)

Anyway, seeing as it was 20 degrees below zero, we didn't get to do it outside like I had planned, so it was a cozy party! Here are some pics!

She also got lots of really cool gifts. Most of them were Elmo related, which she totally didn't mind. Grammy and Pawpaw got her a little table and chairs, and Gran and Papa got her the sweetest toddler kitchen you've ever seen. Its even nicer than ours! We got her this outdoor play thing, but like I said, it has been pretty cold and wet, so we have yet to enjoy it!






She had a great birthday! I can't believe she is already two!
